Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of our practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of our team. Your privacy will be respected.

Telephoning your Doctor

Our doctors can be reached during clinic hours. A message will be taken by reception if the doctor is unavailable at the time. Alternatively a nurse may be able to assist with your enquiry.

Test Results

Obtaining test results requires an appointment with your doctor. To maintain confidentiality, results will not be provided over the telephone. At the time the test is performed we recommend you discuss the best timing for your follow up appointment.

Recall System

Beach Street Family Medicine is committed to preventative medicine. Patients are enrolled in our computer generated Recall Reminder System. Your doctor will discuss the benefits of the recall system and seek your participation.

After Hours

In the event of an emergency, please call 000 for an ambulance.

If you need to contact a doctor after hours for an urgent matter, please ring (03) 9781 5177.

Home Visits

Patients are encouraged to visit the clinic to enable the doctor to deliver optimal care with full access to practice facilities and equipment. Regular patients who are unable to attend the practice will be referred to their usual Doctor who will assess the request on its merits and make appropriate arrangements.
