Dr. Poobalan Naidoo

Dr Naidoo Graduated from medical school in 1985 in India and spent several years working overseas in South Africa. Dr Naidoo is a GP subspecialised in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery after achieving his fellowship recognition in October 2022.  He performs cutaneous surgeries  including skin flaps and grafts in Mooroolbark and Frankston. In his spare time, Dr Naidoo loves staying fit and healthy and is a regular at the gym!

Qualifications: MBBS, FRACGP, FSCCA ANZ, Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, M.Med (skin cancer, UQ), Diploma in Dermoscopy (SCCA), DERMCERT (RACGP)

Dr. Igor Andrianov 

Dr Igor Andrianov has been a GP at BSFM for many years. He has a broad range of skills and special interests including cardiology, chronic disease management, diabetes, skin cancer and general medicine. He speaks fluent Russian. Outside of work Dr Andrianov enjoys going on walks and spending time with family.

Dr. Leonid Gankin

Dr Gankin Graduated medical school in 1992 from Saint Petersburg and is fluent in Russian. Dr Gankin has specific interests in general medicine as well as occupational medicine such as work cover and pre-employment medicals. In his spare time, Dr Gankin enjoys spending time in the outdoors and fishing.

Dr. Andrey Butrev

Dr Andrey graduated from medical school in 1996 and spent several years working in the hospitals overseas and in Australia. He completed General Practice Training in Australia in 2010 and has been practicing all across Melbourne since. Dr Andrey has a broad range of skills and has specific interests in general medicine, cosmetic medicine, minor surgeries, skin checks, cardiology, and the training of junior doctors. He speaks fluent Russian and conversational Greek. In his spare time Dr Andrey enjoys bike riding and traveling.

Dr. Mangalika Munidasa

Dr Mangalika graduated from medical school in 1979 from Sri Lanka. She's worked as a doctor around the world, recently practicing in New Zealand and now Melbourne, Australia. She has a special interest in general medicine, women's health and pregnancy care. Dr Mangalika speaks fluent Sinhalese. In her spare time she enjoys a good comedy or a trip down Netflix lane.

Dr. Ajisa Sabanovic

Dr Sabanovic graduated medical school from Belgrade in 1986 and has been working as a GP since 2000. Dr Sabanovic has also worked overseas and speaks Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. She enjoys all areas of medicine however has special interests in women's health, preventative medicine as well as psychiatry. Outside of work she enjoys a long walk or a good novel.

Dr. Pavlo Korol

Dr Korol graduated medical school in 1984 from Ukraine. He speaks fluent Russian â€‹and Ukrainian and he's practiced medicine in many countries. Having worked many years aboard a cruise ship and later in his career in Africa, Dr Korol has has a wide range of expertise and special interests within general medicine. When he's not working, Dr Korol enjoys cooking, going on walks and traveling.

Dr Glenn O'Leary

Dr O'Leary graduated from Medical College in 1971 from India.  He has practiced medicine in multiple countries such as India, Oman and now in Australia since 1999. He has special interests in immunisation, psychology and other aspects of general practice. He speaks both English and Hindi. Outside of work, Dr O'Leary enjoys listening to music and stamp collecting.

Dr. Deepti Gone

Dr Gone graduated medical school from India in 2006. She speaks Hindi, Telugu as well as Kannada. Dr Gone has a special interest in all things general medicine as well as antenatal care and women's health. When shes not working Dr Gone enjoys reading a good book.

Dr. Jyothi Sehgal

Dr Sehgal graduated medical school in 1996 from New Delhi in India. She speaks Hindi and Kannada. She's previously worked in India and at Sydney Children's Hospital. Dr Sehgal enjoys all areas of medicine however has a special interest in paediatrics and immunisation. When she's not working, Dr Sehgal loves dancing and reading books.

Dr. Marcus Aitken

Dr Aitken is our mental health specialist. He graduated medical school in 1994 from Monash University and worked in mental health since 1998. He's worked for over 15 years with Penininsula Health Mental Health Service prior to commencing with BSFM. He offers a variety of mental health services including the treating of depression, anxiety, PTSD schizophrenia, bipolar and personality disorders.  In his spare time, Marcus enjoys spending time with family and is a music aficionado.

Dr. Gerrard Alhami

Dr Alhami is an Endocrinologist who completed his basic physician training at The Alfred and Royal Melbourne Hospital. He furthered his training in Endocrinology in NSW, QLD and Tasmania before he returned to Melbourne as a Physician. He has his FRACP in Endocrinology. Furthermore, Dr Alhami also specialises in geriatric medicine and thyroid disorders and has also presented a number of seminars on endocrine related disease such as diabetes and management of diabetes.

Dr Alhami requires a referral and practices 3 times a month at BSFM. Please discuss with your regular GP on how to see Dr Alhami.

James Kim
Podiatrist

James has an extensive experience in various podiatric conditions, covering general foot care, aged foot care, diabetic foot care and assessment, wound management, orthotic therapy and footwear. 

​

James' key practice areas of interest include but aren't limited to: 

  • Diabetic foot assessment

  • General nail care

  • Reduction of calluses

  • Removal of corns

  • Removal of ingrown toenails 

  • Treatment of fungal nails

  • Treatment of plantar warts

  • Biomechanical assessment 

  • Orthotic therapy

  • Footwear advice

James bulk bills his patients with a valid care plan and currently operates on Saturdays. Speak with your current Doctor and ask for a care plan if you would to see James. Appointments can then be scheduled by calling reception.
